Privacy Notice

This notice describes information collected when people use Crane County Released Inmates, why it is used, and when another party may receive it. By continuing to use the site, you accept the practices stated here.

Information You Choose to Send

Queries Sent to Search Partners

A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider’s rules govern its collection and handling.

Messages Sent to Us

We retain emails and contact-form messages as needed to read and answer them. Those messages are not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Information Collected Automatically

A page visit may produce routine technical and usage data:

  • IP address (Internet Protocol address);
  • browser name and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent on them;
  • the referring website, when supplied; and
  • date and time stamps.

Cookies and Similar Storage

Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can reject or remove them, though blocking cookies may change how some features work.

How Information Supports the Site

Collected data may be used to:

  • operate the site and improve its speed;
  • send search requests to the appropriate partner service;
  • understand which pages visitors find useful;
  • diagnose and correct technical faults; and
  • display advertising that may reflect user interests.

Privacy Beyond Our Pages

Links may lead to Crane County release records, sheriff and correctional pages, Texas government portals, federal locators, or third-party search tools. After a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy policy controls its practices.

Some advertising partners may measure activity across websites to select targeted ads. That tracking takes place through their systems, not ours.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to:

  • search partners that process submitted queries;
  • analytics providers that measure site use;
  • advertising networks that deliver ads; and
  • law-enforcement or government authorities responding to a valid legal order.

Reasonable Security, Not a Guarantee

We use standard safeguards suited to the information handled. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however, and we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.

Visitors Must Be Adults

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted information, contact us through the Contact Us page so deletion can be requested.

Choices About Personal Data

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, a person may:

  • ask for a copy of personal data we hold;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • ask that eligible data be erased; or
  • opt out of certain processing where that right applies.

Requests involving official Crane County or TDCJ records must go to the government custodian. Texas public-record access is governed by Government Code Chapter 552, not by this privacy notice.

Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may revise this policy as services or practices change. An updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
